Brenda at the Bavarian Autohaus is a spectacular communicator! She not only described the options for a repair, but sent pictures to us for verification! My wife and I have taken the GTI to several other German auto shops in the past and for this needed repair we had estimates for the same exact service. One other specialized shop would have needed to order a (third party) part and have it shipped about 2500 miles, with an "iffy" install and guarantee. Bavarian Autohaus made the same exact repair at a reasonable price and communicated with my wife and myself throughout the process. Having been to three other German auto repair shops over the years, including the dealers for these cars, our rating (of absolute perfect) is based on such comparison! If you are searching for an honest repair shop and a communicative service advisor, Brenda at Bavarian Autohaus will definitely fill the bill!
